KDS feedback

Buffi Auguero of KDS provided feedback based on the photos you took last Wednesday (which I cropped and color corrected)

Auten:
• Love this one! Orange tie reads as Halloween - when contrasted with the black ties; try grey or a different color. Also try adjusting the ties at the top so they don't leave that weird "cat ear" look at the top.

• Tie on front of envelope should be larger if we want that to read as a tuxedo.

Cabral:
• Love the RSVP card and the style in general; type arrangements need tweaking so they won't look so busy. The illustrative elements are great.

Fore:
• Interior elements/fonts are great; make cover fonts consistent with these. Notepad area seems too dark if that area is to be written on.

Li:
• Love the imaginative/creative approach here but not sure if it fits the demographic. Feels too adolescent in tone.

Parkos:
• Cover is great but there is a disconnect between the cover and interior design. Can the pop-up photo become an illustration that ties in with the graphic elements on the cover more?

NEW DATE: Telling Visual Stories with Data

Tuesday, February 18, 2014
5 p.m.
GTRI GaTech
We live in a world where there is an overwhelming amount of information and data; are infographics the way to consume this information in the most efficient way?

Stew Langille, who co-founded the successful company Visual.ly in 2011, is going to be in Atlanta on March 8 to talk about how infographics and other types of visual content have influenced the social media landscape. Stew will present best practices, case studies (from a variety of categories, ranging from Education to Business or Politics) and the process they use to create an infographic that captures the minds of large audiences.

With this series of events, AIGA Atlanta wants to promote the exchange of innovative ideas and stimulate a discussion around the future of this kind of visual content and the role of designers in the process of visualizing information. This event is open to AIGA members but welcomes all audiences with an interest in Social Media, Big Data, Global Collaboration and Information Design.
